A day in the life of a children’s nurse, hour by hour.
This is Sam Robinson. She is thirty years old. She is a nurse. She works at James Cook University Hospital. She looks after ill children. She loves her job.
Every day, Sam wakes up at six o’clock in the morning. She takes a shower and puts on her clean clothes. Then she eats breakfast at half past six. She has toast and a big mug of coffee.
At seven o’clock, she drives her car to the hospital. Sam starts work at eight o’clock. She looks after children before and after operations. Sam gives them medicine and injections, and checks their temperature and blood pressure.
At twelve o’clock, she has lunch with other nurses in the cafe. She goes home at six o’clock. At home, she cooks dinner for her family. She has dinner at half past seven in the evening. Then she relaxes and watches TV. At ten thirty, she goes to bed.
